Just A Breath

An Eternal Moment

By Karen LaRuePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

It was just a breath

You looked me in my eyes

During one of my darkest times

And took that deep breath in

I instinctively breathed with you

Mesmerized by your eyes

Holding that life force within my self for those eternal moments

Until you let your breath slowly go

And I let mine slide out too

With all of theh darkness and pain

That I had been holding inside of me

And in that moment

I knew I could go on

I don't know how you found me

Or if you just saw me sitting there crying in that parking lot

I don't know if you were just passing by

Or a being sent from the divine

But I do know

That breath

Saved my life
