Would you rather climb a tree
or have a cup of coffee
I don’t know about you
but this much is true
.
I’m just a kid in a grown up body
That being said, both will do
.
Just a random thought
in aftermath of a family walk
through a wooded park
after our holiday meal.
.
Try to remember
to have a slice of joy
for dessert each day.
.
Life is precious
a gift with each day living
with giving being
the essence of living
.
Recognize and appreciate
your given gifts
bestowed upon your
family tree 🌳

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
