June, Summers here at last

Long warm sunny days, with birdsongs and happiness

June, Summers here at last

I don’t want praise songs

don’t give me hymns

just birds on the wire

and sun on my limbs

No need for daisy chains

no tales of dew

June walks in quiet

and I walk too

I drink from the silence

not made for show

feet in the garden

letting things grow

No call to beauty

no reach for grace

just heat on the brickwork

and time in its place

If I say nothing

that’s part of the plan

I’m not performing

I am who I am.

just Happy summer is here at last
