Judge Gently
Judge with kindness, empathy and care
Judge gently, friend, when you must judge at all,
For every soul bears burdens we cannot recall.
The heart may hide its wounds from prying eyes,
And pain may fester where a smile belies.
Judge gently, dear one, for each of us is flawed,
And only love can heal the cuts that leave us gnarled.
We stumble through this life with feet of clay,
And often lose our way upon the narrow way.
Judge gently, stranger, for we are kin in kind,
All seeking what we hope our hearts will find.
Our roads may diverge, but still we share the same,
A longing for connection, a desire for acclaim.
So let us judge with kindness, with empathy and care,
And seek to lift each other up and not despair.
For in the end, it's love that matters most of all,
And how we treat each other as we heed the call.
