watching the sun rise

staring out the window

with the pain through my eyes

as the tears run down the side

digesting all the cons of this decision

the jeopardy of your stability, the risk

what if law enforcement gets involved

who has time for ACS?

moving forward is the plan

it’s only god I need to hold my hands,

the car is outside, I just have to put it in drive,

to the nearest highway ramp with my foot on the gas.

this isn’t heartbreak, it’s just confusion

my responsibility to this baby, my priority,

free my mind, think logically, not impulsively,

god thank you for guiding me on this journey,

the way my heart beats with this pen to paper,

giving me so much joy, expressing through poetry,
