Dumps the BBC

I’ll never work with the BBC again

Says John Cleese of Monty Python fame

Though better than many comics

Of his age

At 85

You’d think he’d think

I'm just lucky to be alive

And perhaps should ease

Into a life of studied leave

Rather than complaining about

Commissioning editors not giving him

A shout

Anymore

Just showing him the door

You don't dump me I dump you

Would seem to be his view

I wonder if I live to that age

Will I be filled with such rage

Harper and Collins are just idiots

I’d say

For refusing my novel

What do they know

About book publishing

I could be the next

J K Rowling

According to news sources, comedy great, John Cleese, has vowed that he will never work with the BBC again after storming out of a commissioning meeting, calling editors woke idiots who know nothing about comedy.

I don't know what to make of it. Every time I come across the word "woke" I wonder if people who use it all agree on the definition. Seems like they all have a different meaning of it.

  • Not sure if this was meant to be funny but I laughed hahahahahaha. Loved your poem. I do feel sorry for him though
