Mind

By Vicki LucasPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

If I could step outside myself, and rearrange my mind

I’d probably get distracted by the pieces that I find

I’d pick up a random memory, and lose my train of thought

I’d find a tasty morsel of a feeling that I’ve sought

I’d probably lose something, that I cannot do without

Put me back together, switch on and then there’s nout

So I guess I’ll have to leave it, just the way it is

Or maybe just reprogram it and give a few good tweaks

The mind is such a complex thing, it’s easy to pick fault

But it’s hugely intricate, quite like a treasure vault

So with it be contended, stop trying to make a change

If there’s something you aren’t happy with, have a little re arrange

Do not try and remove some bits, it’s all there for a reason

To take away any part of you is practically treason
