Je Ne Regrette Rien
For Villanelle of Regret

You're ugly, stunted, dull as well,
Tight fisted and meagre hearted.
You are in-el-e-gant as hell.
~
There is a yearning you can't quell,
I long for days we were parted,
You're ugly, stunted, dull as well.
~
It's like your features just don't gel,
You stink like someone farted,
You are in-el-e-gant as hell.
~
I'm sure you've got your tales to tell,
But I'd leave them unimparted.
You're ugly, stunted, dull as well.
~
You're vibe is like an off-key bell.
Away, I'd have you carted.
You are in-el-e-gant as hell.
~
In short, I loathe you, Villanelle,
And I wish I'd never started.
You're ugly, stunted, dull as well,
You are in-el-e-gant as hell.

Hahahaha- I love it because I cannot wrap my mind around doing one!😆😆
Ohhh hahahahahaha, you're talking about the Villanelle! I was so worried reading this, lol!
This is feckin’ hilarious, Hannah! I love the angry, contrarian vibe. I genuinely hope this places because it’s brilliant. I read it out loud and the rhyme scheme reminded me of an angry Dr. Suess.
Meta entries are my favorite ;D Great one, Hannah!
Nothing I love more than irreverence
