I saw a spider
He was big and scary
A venomous creature spun
He landed his web down the sink
I hoped he'd go down the drain
A moment I'd thought he'd die
I ran in shock looking for a cup
A Frozen fear I sowed because I couldn't make the cut
I conjured pictures of demonic legs
He hid away when I returned to fight
I maintained shaken legs
He startled my soul with a fright
I couldn't help but imagine him rogue
He whispered a web of truths to my ear
I waited intently rationalizing anxieties
A minute passed and I entered the room
I knew a spider must have lived here for eons
He ate the flies and protected the anterior
I realized the hatred I carried for an insect
A serious note I challenged mentally
I conquered a worry and "bathed" with the spider
A revelation dawned
I wondered about the police
I pondered racial intentions
I prophesied bullying
A second passes
Now a minute
I think that induced hate is taught
I think that notions and prejudice is real
I think fear of unknown things needs gentle approach
Values and culture
Differences
Differences
They've always been here
In plain sight
Maybe it's time
We exposed ourselves
Gently to each other
"The it's bitsy spider
Went up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
And out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the it's bitsy you spider climbed up the spout again."
A venomous creature spun
He landed his web down the sink
I hoped he'd go down the drain
A moment I'd thought he'd die
I couldn't help but imagine him rogue
He whispered a web of truths to my ear
I waited intently rationalizing anxieties
A minute passed and I entered the room
I knew a spider must have lived here for eons
He ate the flies and protected the anterior
I realized the hatred I carried for an insect
A serious note I challenged mentally
I conquered a worry and "bathed" with the spider
A revelation dawned
Values and culture
Differences
Differences
They've always been here
In plain sight
Maybe it's time
We exposed ourselves

Please disregard the older poetry. I might post here in the future.
