My desire to travel the world was much too far,

Looking for a way to make the dream a reality.

Being told about the beautiful scenery and the architectural landmarks,

I felt it was time to venture internationally.

Wandering the web to find the best time to fly,

Like a true believer of my impossible.

Just couldn't decide if Italy or Dubai,

Unable to make up my mind, it seemed improbable.

Patiently I waited for a sign to fall into my lap,

Knowing I had to do this on my own.

In all places, I didn't expect to find the sign on the map,

I found the destination I had longed to find in my same time zone.

I found my Italian sunrise, my Italian getaway,

Much closer to what I had expected.

My Italian Sunset stood in front of me, all my worries fell away.

This is to the man who stole my heart, I love you and hope to never part,

You were much closer than I was hoping to find, glad I did, glad you're mine.

Italian sunsets are more glorious when you can see them from up close,

Admiring the beauty of what is unknown, exposed.
