It's You with the Moon in Your Eyes.

A Poem.

To the girl in this photo.

You're beautiful when you're smiling.

I see you.

Glowing from the apples of your cheeks, I see your kindness.

In the dark roots of your hair, I see your willingness to grow. And in those sun kissed strands, I see your gratitude for change.

Carefully carved into the outline of your shoulders, I see your resilience.

I those big front teeth that you've tried so hard to hide, I see your authenticity.

From the pouring honey of your skin, I taste the sweetness of your passion.

And like the golden hour sun, I feel the warm embrace of your acceptance.

Its you

with the moon in your eyes.

And in this phase, I see the purity of your love and intentions.

I'm sorry that they turned that light out before.

I now see why they wanted some of that glimmer too.

It's you with the moon in your eyes.

And I promise not to let anyone else steal that from you.
