just a flicker of light
barely seen from a distance
has rekindled the fight
stirring up a resistance
growing larger with time
along with determination
giving strength for the climb
against increased indignation
but that flame has evolved
now raging out of control
and she finds the resolve
and the fire in her soul
clutching more than a lantern
standing for more than her pride
she's destroying a pattern
paid with tears she has cried
and it roars like a lion
till the heat is immense
you cannot stay compliant
when there's fire in your fists
from that one little flicker
the whole world is ablaze
an eternal emitter
equalled to the sun and it's rays
pay close attention
to the words as they're spoken
this is the tip of the tension
until everyone's woken
