It's Groundhog Day

What did Phil have to say

By Denise E LindquistPublished about 3 hours ago Updated about 2 hours ago 1 min read
A friend's photo she found of a groundhog

Six More Weeks...

There may be squeaks

Are you kidding me

What did you think it would be

No matter what day it is

Punxsutawaney Phil and his

shadow or no

Would you go

to Gobbler's Knob

No way would I be with that mob

To watch a groundhog

come out of a fake log

No, I will not say I will

That is all such a pill

Something I won't take

and you can't make

me! Yes, I will watch

it to catch

him see or not see

his shadow - what will it be

but six weeks more winter or

what is in store

I could handle either

or neither...

What, he saw his shadow!

Oh no!

Six more weeks it is

Now to go about my biz!!

I figured he saw his shadow when I got up and saw the sun this morning. No way in the world would I go out in this cold weather to watch him come out, either.
