Isn't it strange to meet someone again after such a long time? Especially someone you were once very close to?
--
It’s been so long,
Yet I wasn’t sorry for it even then.
Has enough time passed that we can say
“Ah, those were good times”?
Too bad I never cared.
Hm, to be truly happy –
I don’t think that’s what it was with you.
So do I grieve for what I never believed in?
Not now, not here – seems so out of place.
Why have you shown up in my life?
You’re a black and white rerun
Playing on the screen I just happened to flip on.
Are we old friends?
“Ah, so good to see you! It’s been a while!”
Never crossed my lips.
“You haven’t changed” is something I can’t prove.
So why not return, Phantom,
To the shadows of my past?
