Alone in the dark, afraid of what’s to come
I sit and weep in fear of the sun
Crying, hoping only few or some
Praying we won’t hear but a hum
I hide in fear of his deadly face
I close my eyes but feel him inside
He’s always close behind and but seems to hide
He seems to be very commanding
I try to run but he still seems to come
I can’t be scared while he stops and stares
I have nothing to spare all I have is air
His presence has begun to go numb
I have nothing else to give
I have nothing else to live for
This battle is not won
