It Is, What It Is

Stuck In The Middle.

And I shall stand here;

My heart says I'm ready,

My mind says no,

My brain says go,

My conscience says stay,

I can't turn back,

Can't move forward,

Part of me wants it,

Part of me doesn't,

I feel like I'm here, in my present,

But not quite there with you yet,

My thoughts just wander,

But they bounce back to this point,

The point between here,

And there with you,

Looking at the vanishing point,

The point where even the sky disappears,

But doesn't,

I can see it,

That imaginary triangle,

The point in the middle of this field,

Where I stand,

This is where my mind is right now,

Stuck in the middle,

Knowing I am there with you,

But not quite;

Not yet,

Maybe I will get there one day,

Snuggled in your arms,

Kissing you,

The question is,

Am I meant to be there at all?

I want to,

I'm nearly there,

But here I still stand,

At this point,

The field on either side,

Not knowing,

Where Im supposed to go,

Where my heart is supposed to be,

I am there,

But I need more time,

Because I'm not quite there,

In love with you yet,

It is what it is,

And I haven't moved from this point...
