It is Enough to be Me

When I am Home with You

It is enough to just be me, to exist and let that existence ebb and flow like a river deriving new embankments.

It is enough to be me as I dream and chase those dreams, knowing my foundation will hold steady.

It is enough to be me and to have moments of laughter, of sorrow, grief and of tears.

It is enough to be me and know that arms will hold me, even when there is no logical rational as to why. When little hands just want to embrace mine, even after a storm cloud was showered on them from my own dark night.

It is enough to be me when time and plans shift like an earthquake and fear tries to destroy me.

It is enough to be as my outer case changes from births and illness; when the beauty becomes a shape shifter, and the mirror looks like a costume of my old self.

When I am home with you, It is enough to simply be me.
