一緒に (Issho ni)

A short poem

By J.M. MoonPublished 4 years ago 2 min read

Please be quiet, don’t shatter the silence

Please hold your thoughts back, I need a moment too

*

Please be gentle, and try to remember

What brought us together, not what tears us in two

*

So don’t get nervous, you’ve done something to hurt us

It will come between us, and tear us in two

*

So don’t get scared, we are both unprepared

For what might happen, and what we might do

*

This isn’t like falling in love, shall we divide and conquer?

Or will I watch you fall, when love no longer seems so tangible

*

Is this like falling in love, is this all you’ve wanted?

And so much more, as we watch our troubles in multiple

*

I flood these walls until they break to remember just one thing

Good memories becomes elusive and feelings seems to deceive

A loves that was unexpected and a welcome relief

Now lets the simplest of emotions do more damage than you believe

*

So just for this one moment I’ll keep those emotions in check

And pray for just this moment that the world will be the best

Place it could ever be, with no one I would rather see

You’re the only one I have ever wanted, and the only one that will ever be

There in my arms, all I am thinking of

Searching in my eyes, looking for the passion in love

*

Well can you feel it? Can you feel it?

Deep within your heart and in your lungs, can you breathe it?

Does it rest upon your soul and let you know who you are?

Or did you see it in their eyes and feel it in their heart?

*

Can you feel it? Can you feel it?

Deep within your chest, in the air, can you breathe it?

'Cause baby if you are feeling alright, come on and tell me tonight

*

Just for that one moment when the world stops to smile

And I’ll remember that one moment as we pass through this fight

Hold yourself together, now you have found, the passion in love
