Isle By The Sea
Love, will you sail away from me?

I wait for you
It is too long too.
My love dies each day
But yet you stay away.
Eyes fade in time
Lips slip out my mind.
I try to save each call,
Time says no to all.
Why have you left me,
Lone in my pain?
Why have you hurt me,
Your word in vain?
Your love kept me here
Yet now it’s bare, dear.
I call on how it felt
Each time made me melt.
The song you sang to me
Is gone away to the sea.
I wait in vain for you,
This I say is true.
Your grip on my neck
Is hard to let go.
I don’t ever want
To miss this so.
My mind has gone
You fill it at dawn.
In day and all more
Each form that you wore.
The press on my bone
In my love it sewn.
I love, I rave, I hate,
I kiss, I need, I take.
My love is hope, My love is vile.
Yet I will stay on this isle.
In dark you lead me home,
In home you lead me to roam,
Will you stay with me a tiny hour,
Or a day, a year, and not to dour.
I beg of you to stay at my side,
To a girl in your past you hide.
I weep, you once said you love me,
Your word is cold to my only, lone plea.
Oh, love, will you end my pain in kind?
Or will sail away from our isle in mind?
In our Isle by the sea,
Love, will you sail away from me?
I beg you, do not go.
I beg you, cold in snow.
I beg you, stay with me.
In woe, deaf to my plea,
Your now hand in the sea.
Will you sail away from me?
