Go back and gather the fireflies to light your way forward— to run through past moments where wishes and dreams bond in clusters and the sun falls backward in time.

Swollen breasts, a heaving chest— a lost river of milk flowing into a sea of uncertainty hidden by a corona of clouds where one sits in silence, whispering through doubt.

On this living in the land of deep darkness, a healing light has dawned— a tomorrow promise glimmering like fireflies, lighting the beyond.

I like how fireflies bookend this piece- such a great image for the reader. That middle stanza is strong- especially the loss felt in "a lost river of milk flowing".

Fireflies as a light to move forward. I love the concept. I love the alliteration. 'corona of clouds' very original and vivid. I like how you circled back around to the fireflies in the last line. It makes this poem very much complete. Not to mention, very moving. ♥️🤗
