Is Medium a Crook?

An Acrostic Alexandrine

Is Medium a crook in this day and age? Yes!

Space and time are not enough for five U.S. bucks.

Maybe the future CEO should wear a dress

Enveloped in some of the writers’ sweat in flux.

Dandelions on the homepage instead of M’s

Insinuating moneys that never come home

Unless the dollars are well hidden in the hems

Methinks Medium is acting like Ancient Rome.

A read is not a read. What? Until you reach Hades

Cornered at the bottom of some screen feeling well.

Reading and writing with glitches galore and aides

Overreaching replies from a bot that can swell.

O past Medium when reads’ claps were counted right

Kicking and screaming at the night with a flashlight.

Aww, Patrick. Looks like you're disappointed with the new changes on Medium. Hope you're happy on Vocal! Nice poem, by the way. Loved that you could communicate how you feel in this piece.
