Is it a Grasshopper?

Think not linear…

Is it a Grasshopper?

the moon jumps over

a frog, where is its clover?

stillness in the fog.

the night stalks still life

owl, skip from your usual

the ground weeps, no sound.

friction uproots dust

magnify what can’t be seen

in the earth you find?

steel rods frighten all

lightning combust and destroy

obliterate loss.

a violin plays

the cat strays from its comfort

find sublimity.

mellow cello null

shimmer, shimmer, break open

boink, a nut falls down.

what lies in the grass?

pounce over to catch the prey

an anomaly.

a just day serves well

deliver a baby, Mel

frolic amongst stars.
