Iridescent

Iridescent

Peruse this differently & you'll see the spectrum change

Stuck inside a prism, you won't need rose tinted shades

Iridescent; They don't see you in the same light that I do

Judged first impressions things aren’t always as they seem

Upon closer inspection they will see your beauty gleem

Iridescent; They don't see you in the same light that I do

Refract what people say

Your charms were tailor made

Most of all take your time

Reflecting colours you’ve gently been assigned

I took a shine to you

They don’t see you in the same light that I do

Found me in my darkest place

An aura piercing through

Spinning shades of deep azure from gloomy hints of blue

Iridescent; They don't see you in the same light that I do

A crimson painted sunrise drowned by a vivid glow

As awe-inspired colours follow everywhere you go

Iridescent; They don't see you in the same light that I do

Refract what people say

Your charms were tailor made

Most of all take your time

Reflecting colours you’ve gently been assigned

Stay iridescent

& they'll see you in the same light that I do
