Inward Bound: A Voyage of the Soul

Across the seas of thought I sail,
Where silent winds and whispers wail,
Beyond the shores of time and space,
To seek the depths of my own place.

The waters dark, yet stars aglow,
Reflect the truths I long to know,
Each ripple sings, each current calls,
Through shifting tides, my spirit falls.

A vessel frail, yet firm and strong,
I chart my course through right and wrong,
The compass needle swings and sways,
Yet inward light still guides my ways.

The Harbor Left Behind

I bid farewell to past embrace,
To comfort’s shore, to time’s own trace,
No anchor holds, no tether binds,
Only the whisper of seeking minds.

Memories drift like clouds on high,
Soft echoes fading in the sky,
The laughter, tears, the love once known,
Now fuel the fire of seeds I've sown.

But winds arise with siren’s cry,
And storm-lit doubts grow fierce and high,
The tempest roars, the ship does strain,
Yet wisdom blooms within the pain.

The Tempest Within

Oh, how the waves do rise and break,
Like shadows formed of past mistakes,
Their voices scream in thunder’s sound,
Yet in their rage, a truth is found.

For every fear that grips my chest,
Is but a trial, a sacred test,
And though my hands may shake and tire,
My soul is forged through flood and fire.

Through darkest swells, through wild despair,
I close my eyes and breathe the air,
No fear shall drown, no storm shall take,
The light within that will not shake.

Islands of Illusion

The storm recedes, the waters still,
Yet now I face a different will,
For on the waves lie drifting lands,
With golden shores and beckoning hands.

"Come rest," they call, "stay safe, stay known,
Forget the path you walk alone."
These islands shine with ease and peace,
Yet mask the chains that never cease.

For in their glow, a lullaby,
A dream to make the heart comply,
But dreams are not where truth is made,
So I must turn, though light may fade.

The Depths of Knowing

Beyond the reefs, the shallows end,
The sea grows dark, the stars descend,
A silence falls, both vast and deep,
Like whispers sung from aeons' keep.

I gaze below and see no ground,
No bottom clear, no edges found,
Yet something stirs, an unseen thread,
A voice not heard, yet softly said.

It calls me down, beyond the known,
Beyond the self I thought was shown,
A depthless dive, a leap of trust,
To find what lies beyond the dust.

The Pearl of Light

Through pressure’s grasp and ocean’s fold,
Through waters dark and currents cold,
I find at last, within the deep,
A pearl that wakes from endless sleep.

It shines with fire, it hums with song,
A truth that’s lived within me long,
Not found through maps or guiding hand,
But in the voyage left unplanned.

For every storm and trial’s might,
Has led me here, has birthed this light,
Not in the world, not in the sky,
But in my soul where truths don’t die.

The Journey Home

Ascending now, I rise anew,
The sky returns in golden hue,
The waves are calm, the air is light,
Yet I am changed, my heart burns bright.

No longer lost, no longer torn,
Through trials fierce, my soul was born,
For inward bound, I dared to go,
And found the self I longed to know.

Across the seas of thought I sail,
No longer bound by doubt or veil,
For in the deep, where dark winds roll,
I found the light that makes me whole.
