Invisible to those around me
Never seen for what I am worth
Lost in this cycle of ever trying
To invoke my serious growth
Yet all the world is too busy
To even care about my work
So I quit caring so long ago
And yet they have never noticed
I live my life as I see fit
In my world of imagination
And my own adventures
I do not need outside appreciation
Or awards that seem so fixed
Hiding my shadows watching
Till the time to rise comes to me
All seem to chase the glory
And end so fake with so many lies
I will not let you destroy my life
And let you fall in your own time

I enjoy writing for fun. I like to write for several genres including fantasy, poetry, and dystopian, but I am open to trying other genres too. It has been a source of stress relief from my busy life.

So sad to read… “ Invisible to those around me Never seen for what I am worth Lost in this cycle of ever trying To invoke my serious growth Yet all the world is too busy To even care about my work” I wonder if people are careless or too self absorbed. Don’t give up!💖
This resonates a lot with me, especially with those in authority and the loudmouths
Yes we can wait for karma to get them. Loved your poem!
