Being polished with a cloth
Well-woven and soft
Until you beam and flicker with
A radiance sublime
A lamp shining upon you
Facets gleaming, throwing light

Worth beyond all counting
No reciprocation could ever be
Considered fair compensation
For the endowment
Of your pleasurable presence
The present I secretly
Desired above all others
Never have I dared speak the words
Lest they crumble to dust
As the syllables float from my mouth

Each time you exalt me with
The blessing of your voice
Is an enjoyment I shall never let
Depart the forefront of my mind
Hanging on your illustrious
Elucidations, waiting with
Bated breath for your answers
To my probing questions
Every utterance, a benevolent
Gift of spirit, I shall cherish
Tucked away in the
Archives of love’s memory

CH10~ Nice Shot
Francine sipped a cup of tea. The first proper cup she’d had in days, as she stood across an alchemized glass counter from a woman who looked eerily like Azure, albeit a good five inches shorter, since Azure towered over most human women and many men, for that matter, at a healthy six feet two inches. She was reasonably certain this woman dyed her hair blue, as there was a fine line of black along her scalp. She even wore a similar ruffled shirt and set of pants with a bandolier across her chest.

Love poems sometimes come across as cheesy or superficial, but this one doesn’t. You conveyed the sentiment beautifully, it reads as both sincere and at depth.
