Into the Unknown

A Poem about Comfort

By Alessandra FelicePublished 3 years ago 1 min read
Floating in the void

Soft blankets and pillows surround me

The rain pitter patter outside

The fire crackling embers

The smell of peppermint tea

I sit here

Peace

Feeling the earth breathe with the hydration of Gods

As they sacrifice themselves to bring life to her

The moment of stillness

Where everything moves around me

Warp speed

But I lay still

The stillness too long becomes discomfort

The energy in my body

Wishing to move

To shift in frequency

Go

My heart taking flight in the unknown

Wings spread out into the open sky

And then fall into darkness

The void

Stillness

Everything and

Anything

All around me

This brings me comfort
