Interrupted Tanka
Silent Bites presents: A love dialogue that can’t be finished. A tanka poem ( 5, 7, 5, 7, 7 syllables ) and a haiku at the end (_and a soft little line to finish it off)

“I really like you,”
words grip Dan, lost in dead calls
Arturo, three sounds
That linger in Dan’s head, shot
Off in a cut call, “I’m yours.”
………
words sound like bubbles
Moss hits the wind, garbled love
Red climbs vines like sick.
——
Arturo surfaces for a moment, “Eyes are on me, I have to hide for you to be—-…”

I have to hide for you to be safe, that sounded very sad. Loved your poem!
