Internet Love Scam
He sat alone with hope in hand
searching for love he could not command
a message came, soft words to bind
a woman who promised a heart so kind
Her pictures shone, her laughter sweet
a dream of a soul he longed to meet
she spoke of love, of plans to share
a life together, beyond despair
He sent his trust through every line
his money too, his fragile sign
believing her smile, her gentle claim
not knowing her heart was built on game
Each promise turned to lies and stone
he woke to find himself alone
no woman waiting, no love was true
only the shadow of what he knew
The silence now is sharp and cold
a man betrayed, a story told
of trust that burned in cruel deceit
a lonely heart left incomplete
she took his confidence and his heart
she only wanted his money from the start
