How do we know they are here for good intentions?

The fact is we really don't.

We don't know what people's true intentions are.

Some people's intentions are masked, where it is layered.

Some people's intentions are clear and easy to perceive.

So ask yourself,

What is your intention?

Is it masked, or is it cleared?

But most importantly, is it true?

We cross paths with many people in our lives. We genuinely don't know people's intentions, but we can understand what ourselves. As we grow in this world, I believe we must self-reflect on what we like to become and who we are in this world. It might be said than done, but it is indeed a journey, and in that journey, we can become mindful of us and others.
