You've Trusted a Faye

Instructions for Disappearing

Into the woods, onward you trek.

No looking back, have no regret.

Tomorrow is coming, but you won't be found.

Onward, up into the mountains, follow the sound.

No looking back, nearly time for feeding.

Owls overhead, their flying will lead thee.

The sticks underfoot crunch and snap, and creatures flee.

Hear from above the twinkling starlight, it guides your quest.

Into that cave now, the back opens at your behest.

Night gives way to day, their search beginning.

Go forth new Faye, for your name, you've given.

Acrostic

This felt like the start of a haunting fairytale. I just realised it's an acrostic too! Very clever.
