Insomnia

Up All Night

Can’t sleep

Until 5 am

Rinse and repeat

As I turn around and do it all again

The cycle feels unending

Stuck in a loop that keeps extending

How do I beat this imaginary friend

Awake all night

Until my eyes finally give in

Maybe tonight will be different

I hope for a better slumber

Only to be disappointed again

Oh Mr. Sandman

I wish you’d bring me a dream

You can make it whatever you please

I never thought I would be

One to beg and plead

To let me sleep

Bring me to a place

That I’ve never seen

Oh Mr. Sandman

Will you bring me a dream?
