To me you are the most beautiful,

But I don’t know who you are.

I look for you in other women,

But I know that I can’t find you there;

How could you be hiding there?

Yet you aren’t hiding.

I see you every time I take a moment

To close my eyes.

You are there for me when I sleep at night;

When I need you during the day.

But because I cannot hold your hand

I can never be content.

I am forever searching,

Seeking out the one woman

To whom I feel I can connect.

And here you are –

And here you aren’t…

And I miss you terribly.
