Inside Out

Inside Me

By Angel AdagioPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

It's exhausting having all these conflicting emotions.

I know, but they're part of you. We're part of you.

We are everything you hate, love, get excited for, or dread.

But why can I feel so many things all at once? Can't I have a moment to breathe?

Your hate to your emotions only makes it worse. You need to feel.

It's complicated. You can be happy and sad at the same time. Nothing is ever fully linear.

I don't want to be drowning in all of you all the time!

So float! Don't fight the current, let it flow through!

Exist within your emotions, not without. We are part of you, not all of you.

Will it all get better?

With time. As much as you don't want to hear that.

You'll learn to find the love again.

You'll learn to let your anger fuel you instead of stopping you.

You'll learn to let the little things excite you again!

There will always be things to dread, but it won't be forever.

I hope every version of me will be ready.

You will, in time.
