Insanity

Maybe my madness is you

By A poem to youPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

I’ve had a temporary insanity

An ought quickly passing profanity

One that sought me and taught me

Something new or else something true

A new insight to see

Something about you or maybe

Just some other new kind of life

One lived in whatever follows strife

But this moment has bled into weeks

And has stained my hours and my sheets

Wonderful and sweet creativity

Salty and deep in its misery

I can’t separate the nows and hows

Living eternally in tandem boughs

What bridges moments with yesterday

And creates these little infinities

My madness makes more most again

But lessened my last forever and then

It turned into a chronic maddening malady

And washed me clean of my dearly held sanity

Now I don’t know what’s up, down, or through

And don’t know if you’re you or who

Is whispering demons in my right ear

Or if angels have blessed me with everything, I fear
