I see my shadow dancing on the wall.

The candlelight is burning deep in my soul.

Ink runs through my veins and it keeps me alive.

I have so many secrets I can no longer hide.

...

I open my notebook and stare at the white page.

It never judges me and opens the cage.

It holds my hand and leads the way into another world.

My thoughts create creatures that were never born.

...

I flip the pages and write like a hypnotized ghost.

The story is begging to come into this world.

My fingers hold the black pen so tight.

Words move around me from darkness to light.

...

The black ink tells my story now.

I’m breathing fire in the summer night.

I confide my deepest secrets to the white page.

The letters dance in silence and whisper my name.

...

As the candle burns down to nothingness.

I sit in the dark and flip the last page.

My notebook is breathing in my hands now.

Echoing in the empty room, the story is alive.
