Your quiet whispers to me
as you hang, lonely, in the sky
My moods are heightened slightly
as your light rests in my eyes
My heart reflects your surface
a void of magnificent desolation
A willing metamorphosis
pulls me into a synchronous rotation
I feel helpless to resist
emotions, daily I deny
My dreams exploring things
my apathetic heart would never try
But you grant me the serenity
and give me wings so I can fly
Above the constellations
matching the starlight in the sky

A/N
Synchronous rotation, is the phenomenon where a celestial body's orbital period matches its rotational period, causing the same hemisphere to always face its partner body. This is the reason we only ever see one side of the Moon.

Good job and what a poem makes one think of space and what is there or not. Also, thanks for the science note.
Pitch perfect. Magnificent Kelli. Give yourself a pat on back from me. Love the extra info too.
