For the Narcissist in Your Life

Fill the space with chitter chatter

Thinking that it matters

As if your wisdom Earth-shatters.

-

But energy wears no disguise

Inside hides a harbor of lies

Screaming out the cries.

-

So banter on without a care

And don’t once ask another to share

A slip of tongue you wouldn’t dare.

-

But I receive each note you didn’t write,

Not the soft melody you sing in trite.

I met you and I saw the night

For it was solely me who was abright

It was me, the light…

& even still with all your inept might,

you paint your picture with pure delight.

Just know, I see the colors of your fright…
