India's Year of Festivals: A Celebration in 360 Days

That brought me into the land of colors where the rivers flow.

We have joy each day, every heart made new.

January starts with the celebration of Lohri with its bright ember.

These are great words: the air is saturated with such a delicate smell of devotion.

Love is like the wine which is always free to pour.

Even Holi comes that brings all boisterousness of March,

The color; bang; as laughter approaches.

Spring is coming in all colors vivid.

A festival of love, a festival of cold.

It is warmed with Baisakhi’s joy in the morning of April.

Crops are reaped, fields are yellow and orange.

Festival of Ram Navami is reminiscent of a time, lost in the myths of a bygone era.

It commemorated Mahavir Jayanti with the event putting up great wisdom for everyone.

Summer of Hope that May brings the warmth of summer breeze.

The great festival Buddha Purnima shall include where hearts do find their peace.

Offices and observation, kindness restored.

Knowledge blossoms whenever skies open into blue.

June’s monsoons come with a splendid display.

Chariot and devotion of rath yatra?

Such feasts of Eid al-Adha were offered with the unity of the peoples.

Love and unity are always discovered.

Which, in turn brings water on the land, because July brings the rains.

That is where Guru Purnima takes the noble stand.
