Embracing Your Power to Build a Better World

Hands, in other hands power,

But where do they go?

Your fate, long lost and devoured,

In the hands of those you don't know.

They say yes, they say no,

Truths to repeat, day after day.

You follow their lead, afraid to go,

Afraid to speak, to have your say.

Guided by fear and insecurity,

You cling to the latest trend,

But a hero won't come for your security,

A hero's just a person in the end.

Follow the light, make your choice,

The decision is already made.

Don't fear your voice, don't fear your voice,

Don't let your spirit fade.

Don't be afraid to make a mistake,

Don't use history as your shield.

It's up to you to make a break,

To fight the darkness, and never yield.

The truth is not beyond your reach,

It's not in the hands of others.

It's in the choices that you teach,

In the hands of sisters and brothers.

Go forth and make your own way,

Your hands are meant to build.

Create a brighter, better day,

And let your heart be filled.
