In Twilight Prayer

I go on

Each step I take along this path,

dusty with torment

and the loss

I cared, still do,

I must let go,

find ocean once again

believe in what can be

if I give myself reasons

to soar above in prayer.

***

Opening heart to sea

lets pain go higher to the clouds

I can run, play, and smile

no weight holds me back now

I wish on stars

and learn to touch

enchanted moonbeams

in the sand.

***

Time throbs in heartfelt joy

trusting my power

to lift and be lifted

I start a new dream in a maze

twilight greets me on doorstep,

a purple gaze tells me

of velvet skies,

I am at home

into the night

of drifting time.

***

Sand swirls around me in embrace

I feel warm

and I long

for one candle, the flame

taking apart all lights

sunshine beams from inside

I fear no storm

and this night

can stay my friend.

***

I carry no grudge,

cast revenge away from soul

my sunny home awaits at dusk

roses are all I wish for

purple, red, yellow, orange

colors weave tapestry of soul

sunlit and caring

beloved for all time.

***

My run has come to end

happy to be with butterflies

have tea in amber afternoon

time knows no end,

no stop, no hurt,

pain all but gone

carried on spell

forever,

back in my mind.
