No one will throw you a line

or lend you that dime.

Forget learning to walk girl you've got to learn

how to climb

outside yourself.

The view you see

will set you free

if you're willing to keep climbing

I guarantee.

But be aware that it is easier

to just stare at this version

of you

and the longer you do

the mole hills will become mountains

and much harder to pass thru

And

before you know it

you’ll have wasted a lifetime

forgetting to walk

let alone climb.

About the Creator

Kate Rogers

I have battled dyslexia my entire life. Because of this, I never thought I could write and avoided it at all costs. Then came the pandemic which left me stuck at home with my own thoughts. The only solution was to put pen to paper.
