In Time, You Will Be Mine

A moment in time can change so many things.

From the moment I heard your silky voice,

My heart began to palpitate, and I knew I didn’t have a choice.

From the minute I watched you glide across the room,

I quickly glanced down at your ringless finger because I didn’t want to presume.

From the second, I saw your infectious bright smile,

I instantly pictured you and me walking down the aisle.

It didn’t take much time for me to figure out; you had to be mine.

By the time I glanced up and saw, yes, you were super fine.

How could it be that the person of my dream just waltzes into my life? Now, all I yearn for is you.

In the past, I heard stories about love at first sight, but in the back of my mind, I always thought, love doesn't work like that—it just can't be right.

But now, I have to agree because my senses have taken flight.

Your voice, your walk, and your dazzling smile. I must admit I am really digging your style.

My mind is spinning around in a whirl as I imagine us having baby boys and girls.

How could my life change so very fast in a moment, a minute, a split second in time?

Now my world is in an uproar, and nothing makes sense.

But one thing is crystal clear I refuse to wait too long in suspense.

Yes, in time, you will be mine!
