In the twilight of a father's life,

A tale of sacrifice, through joy and strife,

He toiled and toiled, for his family's grace,

A steadfast love, in his weathered face.

With calloused hands and weary eyes,

He forged a path, 'neath sunlit skies,

Each day he gave, his heart and soul,

To make his children's dreams a goal.

He worked the hours, long and hard,

For every wish, every dream, every card,

He missed a game, a dance, a show,

To provide the life, they came to know.

Through sleepless nights and whispered prayers,

He carried burdens and silent cares,

He shielded them from life's harsh blows,

With strength and love, he made it so.

But seasons change, as they always do,

As children grow, they find their cue,

The roles reverse, a bittersweet toll,

Now it's their turn, to make him whole.

In his twilight years, frail and gray,

They cared for him, in their own way,

A gentle touch, a loving embrace,

To honor the man, who kept their pace.

Then came a day, with heavy hearts,

When they watched him fade, like distant stars,

He'd given his all, now it was time,

For God to call him, to realms sublime.

Tears were shed, in the silent room,

As they said goodbye, beneath the moon,

A life of sacrifice, of love so deep,

Now in eternal slumber, he'll peacefully sleep.

Though he's no longer with them here,

His memory lingers, crystal clear,

For in their hearts, he'll forever stay,

Their dad, their hero, in every way.

So let us remember, the sacrifices made,

By fathers who guided, and showed the way,

Their love endures, like a beacon's light,

Guiding us through the darkest night.
