IN THE SILENCE, I HEAR MY NAME AGAIN
Some voices echo louder once they’re gone.
Night wraps itself around my windowpane,
reminding me of the words I never said.
In the quiet, I hear my name again.
You once whispered comfort when I was struggling;
now only ghostly words remain.
Some voices seem louder after they’re gone.
I tell myself I’ve let go of every chain,
that grief doesn’t color me anymore.
In the quiet, I hear my name again.
But my heart resists what my mind understands,
you remain in the places where I once hurt.
Some voices seem louder after they’re goI get up each day, trying to stay
aware that healing keeps moving forward.
In the quiet, I hear my name again.
Some voices seem louder after they’re gone. I try to close that chapter for good.
But what we’ve lost always seems to find its way back.
Life took me far and made me feel older,
but the past still comes back, gentle but clear.
Every ending seems to return eventually.
I rebuild, adapt, and try to face what’s ahead,
hoping my heart can move past old habits.
But what we’ve lost always seems to find its way back.
Memories drift like seeds on the wind, and they grow again even in the smallest cracks.
Every ending seems to return eventually.
So I get up again, feeling a little wiser inside,
accepting that closure doesn’t always come quickly.
What we’ve lost still finds its way home.
Every ending seems to return eventually.
