In the silence

the art of quietness

The silence

Like a massive explosion

Across the night sky,

It comes on so quickly

And I never know why.

Sometimes it’s so loud

I think everyone can hear,

Other times it’s quiet

It whispers very clear.

Silence says so many things

When words we do not need,

Our love is undeniable

On this we have agreed.

Why must we always use words

When no words are there to say,

Maybe we’re just silent

Maybe we like it that way.

We don’t need to say I love you,

For it is seen within our eyes,

Words don’t need to be spoken

To us it’s no surprise.

No need to speak a sentence

When the silence comes to call,

We love the quiet moment

When our kisses say it all.

So do not hate the silence

When we cannot find a word,

The love we share together

Even in silence will be heard.

Always, G.
