In the Scorpion Grass
A "nonet" breakup poem

Where dew moths sip the nectar of the
scorpion grass, a raindrop hugs
a leaf, pleading “Forget me
not, adieu.” In mirror
of nature’s rhythm,
the loves will part
per sun and
wind, not
feud.

Author's Note: Syllablecounter says "rhythm" is one syllable. I respectfully disagree with that. 🤷🏻♀🫣
Also: Forget-Me-Not flowers are also called "Scorpion Grass". 🦂🌱 Breakups sting.

This one is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, Gina! My new favorite!
I think that syllable counter is high 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I had no idea that forget me nots were also known as scorpion grass! Your poem was so poignantly beautiful and I absolutely loved it!
You're on a roll with these and I'm addicted!
I loved how delicate this was, yeah I also don't get how rhythm is one syllable.
I love the delicate beauty in this. Excellent.
Scorpion grass... wow! Love the nature drawn in this. 🥰
Your poetry is always at a divine level Gina 👌🌟🙏🏻🤍
Love the nature based spin.
Aww, beautifully written, liked it.
This was melancholic yet so lovely with the imagery. It felt like a gentle break. Beautiful work, my friend :)
