I do not need the moon to rise,
for your memory lights my skies.
Even in silence, you speak so clear,
your whisper dances in my ear.
The world goes on—so fast, so wide,
but time slows down when you're beside.
I trace your smile through clouds and rain,
a soft hello in each windowpane.
You loved in ways the stars would envy,
with eyes that knew my heart too gently.
No poems knew the words you gave,
yet I keep them, like flowers saved.
Your laughter still lives in the air,
I hear it soft when none are there.
And when I walk, alone, at dusk—
you walk with me, in thought, in trust.
You may not be in reach today,
but love like yours does not decay.
It lingers on, a sacred flame—
and burns anew in just your name.
