In the Quiet Echo of Empathy
The Power of a Simple Question

Where life seems grey,
When all feels neutral, a silent sea,
A voice breaks through, whispers of empathy.
A simple question, "How you doing?" they say,
But in those words, a warmth finds its way.
Genuine tones, a caring embrace,
In a numb world, a touch of grace.
Craving release, emotions are tucked,
Heart stays quiet, in silence stuck.
A day like no other, emotions unseen,
Tears hover close, a river serene.
In a question's echo, a quiet request,
For someone to see, emotions unexpressed.
In simple words, the power to mend,
A genuine ask, emotions to befriend.
Wishing I could share more with that person, now gone,
An opportunity missed, but their impact lingers on.
I yearn to express gratitude, to convey,
How they made me feel that it matters, you're not alone, someday.
As Johnny Depp once shared, tears may flow strong,
Not from weakness, but endurance for too long.

I could relate to a lot of this. Nicely written.
