In the Meadows of Lavender

A path less ridden

In a world that races with haste and might,

A soul ran swiftly through day and night,

With no clear path, her heart afloat,

Chasing shadows and horizons without a note.

She sought a tune that life repeats,

Chasing echoes in the crowded streets,

But every door she came across,

Was locked, life in chaos, like a loss.

The paths well-trodden, doorways wide,

Were closed to her on every side,

Yet, in her quest, a secret she found,

A different door on quieter ground.

In the garden, where lavender blooms,

A hidden door she didn’t know looms,

She stumbled upon it, uncharted and new,

And there, a different path came into view.

She treads a path less ridden,

It gleams like a dream that was hidden.

There lies a town untold, where time takes a gentle stroll,

She found a life so simple — a pace that soothes the soul.

There, amongst the lavenders, treasures unfold,

To savor life’s small pleasures, where serenity bestows.

The sparrow’s song, like a lullaby with a melody so sweet

In the embrace of the tranquil wind, her solace she does meet.

The state of not lacking anything, pure delight,

She felt it there, in the soft moonlight,

In the dance of fireflies, beneath the vast and starry plains,

She found life’s simple, sweet refrains.

In a town where time flowed slow and deep,

She discovered secrets others seldom keep,

The whispered laughter and hidden lore,

Of a life less hurried, less explored.

In that unseen door, she glimpsed the key,

To a life lived in simple glee,

For sometimes, it’s the subtle call,

That leads us to the sweetest thrall.
